Paul Camaur is a President of Shimmick Construction Co., Inc. In addition to his corporate responsibilities Paul is responsible for the Company’s staff, operations and pursuits in the Southwest United States.
Since joining Shimmick Construction in 1999, Paul has been responsible for the acquisition and successful completion of projects with revenues totaling billions of dollars. He became a Board Member in 2000, and a member of the Executive Committee in 2004. He was promoted to President in 2014.
Prior to joining Shimmick, Paul worked for Silverado Constructors where he rose to the position of Chief of Construction for the $700 million design-build Eastern Transportation Corridor (241/261/133 Toll Roads) in Orange County, California. Prior to Silverado, he was employed by Peter Kiewit Sons, Inc. where he worked on large design-build projects including the $800 million San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor (73 Toll Road) in Orange County, California and the $1.4 Billion I-15 Reconstruction Project in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Paul is a Registered Professional Engineer and a Licensed Contractor in the State of California. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia and attended graduate school at San Diego State University, where he studied Civil Engineering. Paul is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Associated General Contractors of California.
